Ruth Hartt

Chief of Staff

Profile

In my role as Chief of Staff, I aim to bridge the gap between vision and execution. I serve as a “hub,” helping to facilitate communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization, from board to junior staff. My role allows me to wear a variety of hats, assisting as needed with external relations, human resources, finance, and project management. I also help orchestrate all Institute events, both internal and external. Serving as the primary contact for direct inquiries to the organization provides me a unique perspective, with insight into both internal operations and the sentiments of external stakeholders.

Coming from the world of the performing arts, I was new to business theory. Meeting Clay and learning his frameworks gave me a totally new perspective and inspired me to look at the world through a new lens. I was initially drawn to the Institute by its mission to drive change through powerful business frameworks. Seven years later, I remain inspired by its focus on challenging conventional norms and seeking transformative solutions to systemic issues—by identifying root causes rather than simply treating symptoms.

In short, I’m not just an Institute employee; I am an agent for progress.
